Hidden in the South West of France, nestling in the foothills of the Black Mountains just north of Carcassonne, this unique former bergerie is set alongside the River Clamoux in a very secluded and peaceful location within 10 acres (3 hectares) of private land.

Equipped with modern facilities, this house is eco friendly having solar powered electricity and its own water source. Care and consideration has been given to ensure that the beauty of its surroundings have been retained and are not compromised.

For wildlife lovers endless varieties of butterflies and mayflies dance on multitudes of wild flowers, trout swim in the river, birds soar above and lizards sunbathe in the hot sun. Spot a brightly coloured fire salamander surfacing after the rain or a heron fishing in the river. Red squirrels reside in the garden, roe deer wander through and our nocturnal visitors include badgers, wild boar and pipistrelle bats............emerging at dusk to give an early evening display.

Watch the bright stars at night whilst eating on the large terrace there's little light pollution here.
